Intensive – Residential – Immersion
OMEGA COUNTRY HOUSE is a centre
to receive guests for short stays in a communal environment, conceived as an intensive learning experience where priority is given to gaining in fluency and improving your skills.
Method
The accommodation
This interactive course of classes and activities starts on arrival and you will be living in the same house with experienced English teachers. All communication will be in English from morning to night including meals and breaks. You will be grouped according to your level of English.
Course Instructor
The courses are run by Eoin McGirr (pronounced “omega” when said quickly in a slight Irish accent). He is a lawyer linguist with over 15 years’ experience and has given professional English courses at EU institutions, UN bodies, major law firms, bar associations and NGOs (TRANVIALEGAL.COM). The comfortable premises have been renovated for this adventure and are set in beautiful countryside under an hour by car from Bilbao and Vitoria and just over from Burgos and Santander.
The accommodation is in 4 double rooms and 5 single rooms, some of which have en-suite bathrooms.
Inside the centre has a large open-plan area with fully-equipped classroom and projector, a lounge with fireplace, dining room, library, etc.
Outside there is a barbeque patio area, a large barn for workshops and a couple of gardens for the activities.
No speaking Spanish except in emergencies.
Warning :) Offenders will be assigned different tasks around the house, i.e. tidying up.
